Sparkle Sparkle

Its all about sparkles, my sparkley earrings that is. They make me feel a little bit glamerous. I must admit it has been hard a hard challenge so far, but I think that it is such a good idea to remind your self every day why you are special and what makes you feel good. Even on those days that you don't feel like getting out of bed. Looking forward to the cooking challenge this coming week. and looking forward to getting back to uni. :)

Relax relax relax

A bit late today, but it's time to relax. I feel the best about myself when I am fully relaxed. The best way for me to relax at night is to read a book, but I recently acquired a brand new lava lamp. Yay and my favourite colour too green :)

Fresh and clean

Today is all about feeling fresh and clean, the ritual of the daily shower is very refreshing and washes away any groggyness of the morning, so my picture today is of my hello kitty shower gel. It puts a smile on my face :) Starting next week i will be adding some new recepies to this blog for the cooking challenge as well.

weighing in

My feet dressed up for weigh in day, The last few weeks have not been the best food wise for me. Although I have been weighing in each week, I usually go to the tuesday evening meeting but because it was closed this week Im off to todays one. For me weighing in and the meeting that follows are a very important part of my week. It reminds me that I am in control and it is my choices that give me results. So after a few weeks of being very slack, I am weighing in today to draw my line in the sand and get back on track.

pay it forward

Today I have to go to work, now normally Im a jeans and tshirt person, even at work so today for frock it up 2012 I am dressing up for work. I am paying it forward to my customers by feeling good about myself, my mood will be better and so will my interactions with my customers. Im also happy today because my challenge to myself for last week of increasing my water intake and drinking less diet soda has been very successful. With small achievable goals each week I know that I will reach my goal.
I hope that everyone is enjoying this challenge as much as I am. Next week I will be incorporating the new cooking challenge into my blog too.

Todays photo for frock it up 2012 is of a necklace that my beautiful mother got for me when I got into Teachers College for this year. This makes me feel good about myself because it is a symbol of my success. I have completed one of my goals, now Im looking forward to being successful in my journey towards becoming a teacher. I think it is important to find ways to reward yourself for your success that does not include food. So Im making a commitment to myself to reward my small successes every week. Because small successes eventually become big ones, and celebrating these makes you more motivated to reach your overall goals.

day one 2012 frock up challenge

Im new to all of this, but decided to use this challenge as a starting point to my 2012 loving yourself blog. I have come to realise in recent months, that loving yourself and enjoying life with those you love are the most important things. Coming from Christchurch and enduring over a year of shakey ground makes you reevaluate your daily struggles. So this is day one and for the next six weeks I am joining in on a challenge set to me by my weight watchers leader to frock up, this involves a daily photo of me doing something that makes me feel better about myself. Todays photo is of me in a pair of jeans that a few months ago were too tight to wear comfortably for an entire day; which are now slightly loose fitting.I am also setting myself a weekly goal to do something to improve my health. This weeks goal is to include more filling and healthy foods in my diet and to increase water intake. My daily goal for exercise is to start with 15 mins a day. Today I have already ticked this off in my diary. Heres looking forward to a fullfilling and healthy 2012.
